Heritage is the life blood of our lives. I remember back in I think the year 2000 a statistic about family history on the Internet. It equated to 50% of the total amount of websites and web searches. I was so amazed at such a high statistic that I have thought about it often over the past 7 years.
Heritage is important to so many people, as a way to strengthen family bonds, and create personal meaning and direction. When an individual learns of their family stories it helps them discover who they are, and give meaning and direction in their life.
The focus on our heritage, our stories, is what I love most about the Heritage Makers company. The digital scrapbooking abilities are great, and the books are beautiful and well constructed, but most of all it is the STORIES that are in the books that really make a difference.
That is the number one reason why I am involved with the Heritage Makers company. I love the stories, and I love the difference it makes in lives. Marriages are strengthened. Children learn that their parents really do love them. Individuals learn life lessons from family members that have come and gone.
